Editor rob mclennan invited poets and scholars to praise the work of poet Sarah Mangold. I was delighted to be among 12 writers included in this assemblage published by above/ground press. My four-poem offering creates duets between Mangold’s The Goddess Can Be Recognized By Her Step (Dusie Kollective, 2014) and Her Wilderness Will Be Her Manners (Fordham University Press, 2021) and Adrienne Rich’s “Sleepwalking Nest to Death,” Times Power. Poems 1985-1988 (Norton, 1989) and the title poem in Fox (Norton, 2021), I wove in too poems I wrote when my mother was dying.
