To celebrate the 20th issue of his pamphlet series, Among the Neighbors, University of Buffalo archivist Edric Mesmer invited writers to propose future literary magazines to feature in the series, His lovely introduction “Asterisms Among the Neighbors” is a must read for contributors to little magazines.

Among the Neighbors is dedicated to the study of little magazines from 1940 and after. Some of these are case studies of single little magazines; others focus on publishing networks or the materiality of small press publications.
